Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actress who is active on television, film and the theatre. From the age of 27 she's been engaged as an accomplished actress. Her stage debut was in 1990 with an off-Broadway adaptation of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. Then, in The Perfect Tribute, she was the first actress to appear on television a few years after. In 1992 she got her big break when she played as an extra character in the movie Basic Instinct. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was cast as the woman leading the film for just the first time, and this was also against stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the late 1990s she worked alongside top industry stars including Gwyneth Palow in Sliding Door Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes Julie Andrews Relative Values. Most recently, she played in the role as Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.

In 2007, at the age of 12, she became the first woman in history to be qualified to compete in the US Women's Open. In 2007, she was not the champion of the US Women's Open, however, she won the Aldila Junior Classic to be the second. The title was her first to win a title in the American Junior Golf Association.
